Eames® DSR Chair – Herman Miller
Timeless design introduced in 1950 and still in-demand today. The initials stand for Dining (height) Side (chair) Rod (base). It has a distinctive chrome base, giving it the nickname the “Eiffel” chair. It was one of a series, all with the same seat shell, made at first from fibreglass and now from polypropylene.
Herman Miller introduced Eames Shell Chairs in 100% recyclable polypropylene in 2001, more than a decade after discontinuing the original fiberglass shells. The matte plastic offers subtle tactility and notable durability.
This chair has a single piece non upholstered shell with waterfall edges and moulded plastic seat and flexible back providing surprising comfort.
